How does cellulite come about?
Cellulite refers to the formation of lumps and dimples which gives an orange peel or cottage cheese appearance in the skin. This condition is more common in women, due to the distribution of fat cells and connective tissue under their skin. In women, there is a larger number of fat cells with vertical bands of connective tissue. This makes it easy for the fat cells to protrude outwards into the skin. Men, on the other hand, have fewer fat cells and their connective tissue are arranged in a criss-cross pattern. Therefore, they are less prone to cellulite.
What can be done to treat cellulite?
90% of women experience cellulite at some point in their lives. The common areas include the tummy, thighs and buttock. You may find counter lotions or creams to either prevent or treat cellulite. Most of these products claim to reduce the appearance of cellulite or increase collagen in the skin. However, there is very little evidence to show that any of these creams work.
That does not mean that nothing can be done to treat cellulite. There are different types of procedures in the market which target cellulite treatment. And EndyMed PRO is one of them.
Watch this video to see how the treatment is done.
How does the procedure work?
EndyMed PRO is powered by FDA cleared 3DEEP RF technology to tighten and tone the skin without damaging the top layer. This reduces the size of the fat cells and stimulates collagen production. This focused energy can then be used to achieve skin tightening, cellulite reduction and body contouring effects. And the good news? You can complete a single session in just 30 to 45 minutes of your time.
When will I see results from cellulite treatment?
You may not see results after your first treatment. However, you should expect to see noticeable reduction on your third or fourth treatment. Results will gradually improve with each consecutive treatment. Most patients require an average of 6 to 8 weekly sessions to see significant improvement. Though individual results may vary.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will I expect during the procedure?
The procedure is relatively safe and performed by a trained therapist. You will need to remove your personal jewelry before the treatment begins. Then, we will cleanse your skin thoroughly and apply a transparent gel on top. You will feel a gentle warm sensation as the hand piece goes in a firm circular motion on your body. Overall, it feels like a comfortable massage and is well tolerated by most patients.
Is there any downtime after the procedure?
It is common to experience mild redness after cellulite treatment. At the same time, your skin may appear to be a little more sensitive than usual for a day or two. Otherwise, there is minimal downtime and you can resume your usual activities right after the treatment.
Do I need to follow up with creams after procedure?
We recommend our patients to use Arium Essentials Skin Repair in conjunction with cellulite treatment for optimal results. This is a moisturizing cream with peptides to repair and restore our skin after any aesthetics treatment. Follow the advice of the doctor and use the cream according to directions given. If you are unsure, do not be afraid to call us for clarification.
How do you monitor my progress after procedure?
We will take serial photos of your skin throughout the treatment sessions. Hence, we are able to monitor your progress and compare outcomes. We will keep your photos secured within our medical records database.
Will the cellulite return after I stop treatment?
It depends on your type of cellulite and its cause. Some patients are more prone to develop cellulite than others. You can try to use counter lotions or creams to prevent its formation though there is no strong evidence to show that it is effective. Although the prevention of new cellulite is not entirely possible, it is reasonable to pursue a healthy lifestyle. Adequate rest, keeping yourself hydrated with a nutritious diet and a consistent exercise regime will help in controlling the appearance of cellulite.
Are there any persons who are unsuitable for cellulite treatment?
You will not be suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have recent diagnosis of cancer or untreated epilepsy. This procedure is not recommended for those fitted with a heart pacemaker or have metal implants in their body. For safety reasons, we would also avoid treatment over broken or infected skin.
